Our Indian education system, our society has failed us big time and slowly we all are learning the fact. Not all of the them but I think the millennial in metropolitan cities are figuring this out somehow.
Every 3 months before any of the board exams that we have appeared for in our lives, we were told by everyone that this is the last time you need to work hard and after that life will be easy, sorted and you will be ‘successful.’
FAILED BAD STRATEGY, I SAY!
Nobody told us that it is not easy to be successful. Nobody told us that ‘This is not it! Possibly, your journey to become successful has just started.”
It takes a lot of hard work, grit, determination, luck, and so many other things to reach the pinnacle of success. It’s not easy. An exam where you just learn the right lyrics to the right question which will get you a relevant degree won’t take you anywhere but understanding your industry, having a skill set to perform tasks and solving the problems effectively will definitely take you somewhere.
Two months back, I started working with a new company and realized that I am back to the grind. Pushing limits, working overtime, trying out new things, learning new things, learning new insights everyday, that’s working in your early 20s should be all about.
Before last 2 months, I was craving for some self time, rest and other privileges and I am not saying there’s anything wrong to it. But I feel, this is not the time in life to rest and enjoy some ‘ME’ time every weekend.
This definitely the time where you slog, you grind and you make sure that whatever you do you do it so effectively like nobody else does. That’s what it’s all about. Be excellent at what you do! THAT’S THE ONLY WAY.
